Saint Bart's offers several options for sports and age divisions within them...

Football

Bruins Football is offered in the Developmental, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. Saint Bart's "teams up" with a few other small, nearby Catholic schools to create the Bruins Football teams.

  • Our Developmental level begins in 3rd and 4th grade (Third grade players are determined by the coaching staff as to readiness, as this is full contact)

  • 5th and 6th grade comprise the Junior Varsity team (Section and Diocese Champs in 2004-05 season)

  • 7th and 8th grade comprise the Varsity team (Section and Diocesan Champs in 2006-07 season)

We also have a camp that begins in June for anyone interested in football.  Check the  www.bruin-football.com website for that info.

Basketball

Begins in 3rd grade for both boys and girls as a Developmental league. No score is kept except in tournaments.

5th and 6th grade Junior Varsity: Our girls team won their section, our boys were section  runner-up (2007-08)

7th and 8th grade Varsity boys and girls teams.  The boys may have some photos of their tournament win this year, or some pics of 8th grade recognition.

St Bart's basketball teams continue the winning tradition that began back in the 1960's- always competitive each year.

Soccer

Co-ed team begins in 4th grade. They play on the JV squad with the 5th and 6th graders.

7th and 8th grade Varsity- Section Champs last year (2007)

Cheerleading

Third through fifth grade girls comprise the JV team and sixth through eighth are on the Varsity team.  It's non-competitive and done just for the fun of it!

Pep Squad

A fun way for K-2nd graders - both boys and girls- to learn how to function as a team before joining our sports teams. They attend home basketball games and cheer our teams to victory with shouts and cheers learned at practices in the weeks before the games begin.
